The Cardinal Is What Makes This Bow Unforgettable.
Christmas décor is easy to buy. What feels different is hanging something you actually made.
The vivid red cardinal sits at the center of layered quilted leaves, winter berries, pine-inspired prints and classic Christmas plaid, giving the entire bow a warm, nostalgic character.
From across the room, it looks like a finished holiday statement piece. Up close, you can see every fabric layer, stitch and detail that made it yours.
Create it during a quiet afternoon, make it together with someone you love, or turn it into a handmade Christmas gift that feels far more personal than another store-bought decoration.
Designed to Be the Centerpiece, Not the Background
Layered fabrics, dimensional quilting and the sculpted red cardinal create the kind of Christmas decoration that immediately draws the eye.
Signature Cardinal
A vibrant red cardinal creates a distinctive focal point against cream, berry red and evergreen fabrics.
Quilted Dimension
Padded individual sections give the finished bow depth and structure instead of lying flat like an ordinary fabric decoration.
Statement Size
The finished project measures approximately 23–25 inches, creating a substantial focal point for your holiday decorating.
Made by Hand
Every finished bow naturally has its own fabric placement and small handmade variations — exactly what gives it character.
One Cozy Sewing Project.
One Big Christmas Transformation.
Turn a coordinated bundle of fabric pieces into a full, dimensional Cardinal Quilt Bow you can display all season long.
Easier to Make Than It Looks
Instead of trying to build the entire bow at once, you create the individual padded pieces first and assemble them layer by layer.
Trace & Prepare
Use the paper templates to prepare the individual petal and tail sections for your bow.
Sew & Quilt
Sew the fabric sections separately and add padding to create the soft, dimensional quilted look.
Layer the Bow
Arrange your finished pieces into the full red, cream and evergreen Cardinal bow shape.
Add the Cardinal
Finish the centerpiece, secure the layers and get your handmade Christmas statement piece ready to display.
Everything Comes Together as One Coordinated Project
No need to design a color palette from scratch. The Cardinal style is built around coordinated holiday fabrics and guided templates so you can focus on enjoying the making process.

Select the Cardinal StyleFrequently Asked Questions
A few things to know before starting your Cardinal Quilt Bow.
Is this suitable for beginners?
The project is designed to be approachable with step-by-step instructions and reusable paper templates. You build the bow section by section rather than trying to construct everything at once.
How large is the finished Cardinal Quilt Bow?
The finished size is approximately 23–25 inches (58–64 cm). Because this is a handmade sewing project, the exact shape, quilting and finished dimensions can vary slightly.
Do I receive a finished bow?
This listing is for a DIY sewing kit. The enjoyment of the project is creating and assembling the quilted bow yourself, then displaying the finished piece.
Are scissors and the other tools in the photo included?
Styling tools such as scissors, measuring tape, pins and thimbles may be shown for demonstration purposes and should not be assumed to be included unless they are specifically listed with your selected package.
Where can I display the finished bow?
It works beautifully on doors, walls, mantels and other Christmas displays. For fabric longevity, an indoor or protected covered location is recommended rather than prolonged exposure to rain or harsh weather.
